Feel the Pulse of the Frontier Development of High-end Equipment Manufacturing at the CIIE

The exhibition area for enterprises at this year's CIIE exceeds 367,000 square meters, with 4,108 enterprises from 138 countries and regions participating. Both the exhibition area and the number of enterprises have reached record highs. Among them, 290 are Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders, and 180 enterprises are "eight-time full attendees," fully demonstrating the strong "magnetic attraction" of China's ultra-large-scale market.

A total of 461 representative new products, new technologies, and new services were released at this year's CIIE. Among them, 201 are global premieres, 65 are Asian debuts, and 195 are Chinese premieres, covering industries such as biomedicine manufacturing and high-end equipment manufacturing, with a higher proportion of artificial intelligence and humanoid robots.

Standing firm, moving steadily, and advancing rapidly, humanoid robots are accelerating from "moving on stage" to "being used in factories." Their application scenarios are becoming more diverse, technologies are becoming more sophisticated, and collaboration is becoming smoother, as they quickly integrate into our production and daily lives.

As a representative of high-end equipment manufacturing, humanoid robots will effectively drive the vigorous development of the industrial chain upstream and downstream. They will provide strong momentum for boosting new consumption, spawning new industries, and expanding new employment, becoming a commanding height of global technological innovation and a new engine for economic growth.

Humanoid robots are regarded by the industry as the best form of embodied intelligence. From the "integrated breakthrough" of technology and art, to the "practical empowerment" in industrial and shopping mall applications, and then to the "in-depth participation" in public services, humanoid robots let more audiences see that embodied intelligence is not a future concept but an effective tool.

Today, the industry is pursuing new technological breakthroughs to enable humanoid robots to complete about 80% of tasks in unfamiliar daily scenarios. For example, telling a robot "help me get a glass of water"—if the robot can independently complete the task in a scenario that has not been pre-trained at all, it will be a significant breakthrough.

Humanoid robots are regarded by the industry as the next-generation super terminal after smartphones and new energy vehicles. With independent and controllable technology chains, efficient collaboration in industrial chains, and the cultivation and promotion of application chains, humanoid robots will achieve leapfrog development from technical prototype verification to engineering implementation and large-scale application. However, at this stage, there is still room for improvement in the performance optimization, cost control, and model algorithm application level of humanoid robots, and it will take time to form stable and inclusive productivity.

Today, China aims to promote the high-quality development of high-end equipment manufacturing industries such as humanoid robots with a more pragmatic attitude. This includes supporting domestic and foreign enterprises in carrying out joint research, promoting the hierarchical application of humanoid robots in the industry, accelerating the research on the standard system of humanoid robots, and strengthening the training of talents in the field of humanoid robots. Next year will be a crucial year for the commercial landing of humanoid robots, and it is expected that in industrial scenarios, humanoid robots tending to work fully autonomously will take the lead in landing.
