Recently, major news has been coming from the domestic forging machine industry. Yangzhou Forging Press Machine Tool Co., Ltd. (Yangduan)'s multi-station presses continue to lead the global market with their technological advantages, while the core equipment of Baoji Titanium Valley's 317 million RMB digital forging production line – the 7000-ton fast forging machine – is also scheduled to enter trial production at the end of January 2026. These two developments signify that China's forging machine industry is accelerating its progress towards large-scale, precision, and intelligent manufacturing, providing critical equipment support for high-end manufacturing fields such as new energy vehicles and aerospace.

As a core product category in the forging machine field, multi-station presses have become essential equipment for the manufacturing of new energy vehicle parts due to their integrated multi-process and highly automated production characteristics. Yangduan has been deeply involved in this field for many years, and its products have achieved a large-scale leap from 2500 tons to 3500 tons.  Its 35000KN heavy-duty multi-station press is the world's first model with an ultra-long 8000mm worktable. It can directly replace the multi-machine series production mode, improving production efficiency.

In terms of market performance, Yangduan's multi-station presses consistently hold the top market share. Data shows that since the first 2500T model was delivered in 2017, more than 60 units have been delivered to domestic and international markets; sales of large presses above 1600 tons have exceeded 100 units. The 3500T model launched in 2025 was a pre-sales success, securing high-end orders from Europe, America, Japan, and South Korea upon its market release, becoming a core force in breaking foreign monopolies.

On the technical level, Yangduan's multi-station presses benchmark against international top standards, integrating Schuler's lean manufacturing process and MES intelligent system. The machine body adopts a split steel plate welding design, coupled with high-precision eight-sided guidance and a six-link main drive mechanism, achieving a table repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.1mm, capable of stably processing complex materials such as high-strength steel. Its production efficiency far surpasses traditional equipment, reaching 8-30 cycles per minute under full load.

Focusing on the high-end titanium material manufacturing field, the digital forging production line project in Baoji Titanium Valley has reached a critical milestone. Its core equipment, the 7000-ton high-speed forging machine, is expected to begin trial production at the end of January. After commissioning, it will fill the gap in large-scale production of high-performance titanium materials in China, with an expected annual output value of 800 million yuan.

Currently, China's titanium industry faces a structural contradiction of overcapacity in low- and medium-end products and a shortage of high-end products, while the aerospace, marine engineering, and medical device fields have an urgent need for high-precision titanium alloy materials. The 7000-ton high-speed forging machine integrates a digital control system and intelligent forging technology, significantly improving the production efficiency, product precision, and batch stability of titanium materials.

Yangduan's multi-station press production line has achieved deep integration of automated feeding, robot collaboration, and intelligent control systems, and can be connected to MES and ERP systems to achieve transparent management of the production process. In the future, its products will focus on empowering the stamping needs of emerging fields such as new energy vehicle power battery structural parts and fuel cell bipolar plates.

At the same time, the technological innovation direction of the forging machine industry is becoming increasingly clear: large-scale and precision equipment will become the core equipment for high-end manufacturing in new energy vehicles, aerospace, and other fields; digital and intelligent transformation will further improve equipment utilization rate and flexible production capacity. Industry insiders point out that under the national policy guidance of strengthening the principal role of enterprises in technological innovation, forging machine manufacturers with core technologies will enjoy greater development opportunities.

From the perspective of market demand, the rapid expansion of the new energy vehicle industry, coupled with the wave of domestic substitution in high-end equipment manufacturing, is opening up new growth opportunities for the forging machine industry. Whether it's Yangdian's multi-station press or Baoji Titanium Valley's 7000-ton fast forging machine, they all demonstrate the transformation trend of the forging machine industry from "scale competition" to "technology-driven development."
